Violence in movies and sex on TV

Tv rots the brain. That's an oldie. Truth is, with, all the crap that's being shown on TV, it's probably right on the money. Still, sex and violence in videogames and TV have been hot topics for some years now. They aparently turn your 3 year old into some kind of psychotic, violent killing machine. Since it's a topic that stirrs up a little controversy... well, I can piss people off with it!

First off, boobs. When I was groing up, there were no boobs in commercials on TV. Not even after midnight. Then, shows like playboy started being shown and after a while, sure enough, there were comercials with topmess chicks. I think the first one I saw was a shower gel commercial. As a hormonal teen, I liked it. And the most amazing part about it is, it didn't turn me into a sex offender. That's right, nudity on TV doesn't turn your kids into pervs. I'm a bad example for this, but believe you me, I was a perv long before this. Too much testosterone, I guess!

So, maybe "protecting" kids from some nudity on TV is stupid. They'll have to find out about their own sexuallity sooner or later. Might as well be before they get knocked up or contract some STD. Lack of info never protected anyone. Hardcore porn, however... that I must say should not be shown on public access. At least not before midnight. It just sends an irreal message about sex. Kids, if you'r reading this, your girlfriend's best friend won't as for your help unpacking and then hump you. Even if that happens, when your girlfriend walks into the room and finds her mouth wrapped around your dick, she won't ask if she can join you. And if that happens... please send me their phone number.

Now onto violence. Kids got it hard these days. They get pushed around by adults, have no freedom, have to stay in school and learn how to be good robots and when they're not in school, chances are they can't find a place where they can go with a buch of friends and play football (that's soccer, in case you like to call games that are played with your hands, football). So they stay home. If you're forced to stay home, have less contact with your friends, get bossed around all the time and no-one cares about your oppinion, you'll probabbly get pissed. As such, kids sometimes need to get it out of their systems.

That's where games come in. They go online, chat with their friends and go play in a world where the rules aren't so confining. They can break shit, hurt people and relieve the angst they might be feeling. It doesn't mean theyŕe gonna replicate that in real life. They know it's a game. It's just a way to relieve some stress. Most people aren't influential politicians and, as such, can't just go and choke a prostitute everytime they feel stressed. Which is also good, because otherwise we'd be out of prostitutes. Thailand found a solution for that problem though... anyway, violence in videogames is not real violence.

TV's the same shit. You can't really be appaled at violence in movies when the news shows way more gruesome images. And the worst part, they're real. The real world has no big yeallow birds and smilling suns. It's dark, cold and violent. You can't protect them from the real world, why are you trying to protect them from fiction?

Neglecting parents, abusive family members, domestic violence, drunk pricks, opressive teachings (here's to religion, hurray!), racist remarks at home... these cause real violence. These can fuck a guy up. Stop trying to blame everything but yourselves. TV and games are entertainment. Trust me, they can't do half the damage that seing your drunk father beating the crap out of your mother can.
